Teens, share your personal story & win a prize!

Teen Health & Wellness has been updated to include  coronavirus information; these updates will continue as the situation unfolds.
To stay connected during COVID-19,  Teen Health & Wellness is inviting teens to share their voices through their Personal Story Project . This tool allows teens to share and publish their experiences, and to find strength and hope in one another’s stories. COVID-19 & your library

The Hillside Public Library is committed to the health and safety of our patrons and staff. In order to help limit the spread of the virus, the Hillside Public Library is taking extra precautions to clean areas including counters, tables, computer keyboards, mice, door knobs and the drinking fountain throughout the day.

If you are sick or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, please stay home to protect others. The best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Stopping transmission through everyday practices is the best way to stay healthy:

  • Cover your mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, or cough into the inside of your elbow. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
  • Wash your hands often, especially before eating and after contact with public surfaces. Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Try to avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home if you are sick and avoid contact with other people.
  • Call you healthcare provider immediately if you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever or symptoms of respiratory illness, such as a cough or difficulty breathing.

More information about COVID-19 is available at cdc.gov or call Illinois’ COVID-19 Hotline at 1-800-889-3931 or email dph.sick@illinois.gov.
