This full-text database covers topics such as aging, cancer, diabetes, drugs & alcohol, fitness, nutrition & dietetics, children’s health, men & women’s health, etc.

MEDLINE
MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 5,400 current biomedical journals.

Science Reference Center
A comprehensive research database that provides easy access to a multitude of full text science-oriented content.  It also contains full text for hundreds of science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals and other sources.  Some of the topics covered include biology, chemistry, health and medicine, history of science, scientists, technology, wildlife and much more.

Teen Health & Wellness
Teen Health & Wellness provides middle and high school students with nonjudgmental, straightforward, curricular and self-help support, aligned to state, national, and provincial standards. Topics include diseases, drugs and alcohol, nutrition, mental health, suicide and bullying, green living, LGBTQ issues, and more. To access this database you will need to sign in with your Hillside Library card.

Memorial Day and Summer Hours

The library will be closed Monday, May 29 for Memorial Day.

Summer hours begin this week: Monday-Thursday from 10:00 am-9:00 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am-5:00 pm, closed Sundays. Sunday hours resume on September 10.
