Summer Reading Wrap Up

Thank you to all who participated in this year’s Summer Reading Program: Every Hero Has A Story! The Library had a great time and we hope you did too. Another big thank you goes out to all the readers that came out on August 1 for a fun party on the lawn to pick up their certificates and final prizes. The Library would also like to congratulate this year’s 20 grand prize winners. Again thank you to all who registered and participated.

Staff Development Day

Attention patrons. The Hillside Public Library will be opening at 5:00 pm on Monday, August 3. This is due to a staff development day. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Scheduled Online Maintenance

Attention Hillside Patrons,

This Wednesday, July 8th, at 9 p.m., the Enterprise OPAC eCommerce payment service will be offline for a planned outage and system maintenance. During that time, the payment service will be disabled for patrons to avoid any lost/failed transactions. This means that during that time, which should only be a 1-2 hour period, you will be unable to pay your fees through the online catalog. This outage will not affect any other functions of the Enterprise OPAC or Symphony WorkFlows. Function to all services will be restored upon the completion of scheduled maintenance, which again should only be for an hour or two.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

4th of July

Attention patrons! The Hillside Public Library will be closed next Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, for the 4th of July. Remember to stay safe and have a fun weekend.

Summer Reading

It is already the second week of sign up for Summer Reading and there is still time if you are interested. Do not wait too long though, for sign up ends Monday, June 29. For those of you that are currently signed up or plan to register soon, don’t forget to complete your 6 challenges by August 1 so you can be eligible to win a Nook E-reader. However, reading and challenges are not all there is to Summer Reading. There are a number of different programs this summer, so check them out on the programs page or read the Newsletter for more information. If you have any questions, please contact the Library and we will help you right away.
