Holiday Cookie Exchange Party!

Thursday, December 8 from 7:30-8:30 pm

Sample and share cookies of all kinds as you mingle with friends at this short but festive cookie exchange party. Bring four dozen of your favorite cookies homemade cookies and one small wrapped gift from the dollar store.
Adults only! You must register for this program by Tuesday, December 6. Minimum attendance: 6.

The Winter edition of the Hillside Public Library’s Off the Shelf newsletter is now online. Thanksgiving Hours

The library will be open from 10:00 am-5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 23 and closed all day Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular hours will resume on Saturday, November 26.

Popup Picks is produced every three months as a quarterly online mobile publication by librarians from around the state. It includes hand-curated, award-winning sci-fi, young adult, travel, humor, self-help, graphic novels and other ebooks and personal picks from leading expert librarian curators. This service for Illinois residents also gets up close and personal with author interviews, personal mementos and backstories on your favorite authors and books.

Cookie Exchange

Sample and share cookies of all kinds as you mingle with friends at this short but festive cookie exchange party.
We will swap cookies, play a few games, enjoy a warm beverage, and sample cookies

GUIDELINES FOR THE COOKIE EXCHANGE

  1. All cookies should be homemade.
  2. No plain chocolate chip cookies please.
  3. Bring 4 dozen total cookies. 3 ½ for the swap and ½ dozen to share for the evening.
  4. Bring a container to carry away your cookies.
  5. Email (address below) or give a copy of your recipe to the library before the party so that we will have copies to hand out.
  6. In an effort to avoid duplicate recipes, when you register let the library know what type of cookie you plan on baking.
  7. Bring one wrapped gift from the dollar store for a game prize.
