Walgreens Flu Shots at the Library

Wednesday, September 28 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm

The Hillside Walgreens is having a shot clinic at the Hillside Public Library. Walgreens will bill your insurance company. If anyone needs to pay cash price, the cost will be $25.99. Walgreens will have a limited number of flu shot vouchers that can be used to help anyone that does not have insurance. Pneumonia vaccines will also be available for anyone that is eligible, as determined by CDC guidelines. Please bring any MEDICAL AND/OR PRESCRIPTION insurance cards that you may have, including Medicare B (“red, white, and blue”) cards.

The Hillside Walgreens is participating in the “Get a Shot, Give a Shot” campaign in which Walgreens contributes a portion of each shot to the United Nations Foundation!

Walk-ins are welcome but it is best to register for a time slot.

BiblioBoard Library

Introducing Biblioboard: a collection of fiction, nonfiction, historical source documents, photos, and more, free to any Illinois resident.

The BiblioBoard Core collection contains over 14,000 full-text eBooks that cover a range of topics from Abraham Lincoln and the Alamo to ballet, baking, chocolate, Mozart, Jack London and Victorian Fashion. BiblioBoard also features a collection from Recovering the Classics (a crowdsourced collection of original covers for classics of world literature), as well as collections from the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford.  Because there are no limits on simultaneous use, you’ll never be put on a hold list or have to wait for titles.

If you create a BiblioBoard account you can bookmark your place, add notes to items you read, generate citations, download content for offline reading, and access the collections outside of Illinois.

Apps are available for iOS and Android for reading on the go!
